NYC events: Francis Heaney readings
Our man Francis Heaney is going to be reading from his new book, Holy Tango of Literature later in March. And what is this curious title? It's for all of us who wonder what would happen if famous poets wrote poems whose titles were anagrams of their names (as you probably already guessed).
Thursday, March 10, 7:30
Barnes & Noble (267 7th Avenue)
Park Slope, Brooklyn
Tuesday, March 15, 7:00
Borders, Columbus Circle (10 Columbus Circle; in the Time Warner Center)
Manhattan
Also check out the hilarious comics on Francis's blog, Heaneyland. This man has talent, people. And he knows how to spell. And wear ties. I beg Francis to do something every time there's a new issue of Stay Free! coming up and usually he doesn't get mad and sometimes even agrees. The stuff he wrote for the upcoming issue is so good I'm not even going to tell you about it.
