Imax sucks even more now...
While I'm a geek about film, I've never liked Imax movies - those giant format films that are shown in museums across the country. Don't get me wrong. The films can be quite visually breathtaking (I almost barfed when I saw "To Fly" at the National Air and Space Museum.). But the content of the films is usually just some glib science facts stringing together the visual effects. Many science museums pump money into the Imax franchise to attract crowds, instead of developing their own unique hands-on science demonstrations (see San Francisco's Exploratorium to see a great science museum) And now, some Imax theaters are refusing to show films that mention "controversial" topics of evolution and the Big Bang. If you can't get good science at your local museum, where can you get it?

Books. Good Lord willing, there will always be books to clear the way for critical thinking. ;)
