Buying books and things online
Some of you may have noticed the ads for Amazon and Powells I just added to the blog. In our struggle for world domination, Stay Free! has signed on as partners to these sites, which means 5-7% of all purchases by people who click-through to these sites will go to Stay Free! Just thought I'd mention this in case anyone is planning on buying a $2,000 flat-screen TV anytime soon. (By the way, most blogs that link to Amazon have this deal, so anytime you're thinking about buying from Amazon and want 5% less of your money to go to the powers that be, just click through to the site from an affiliate.)

I'm confused...according to "the powers that be" piece, Amazon and Powell's support the right bigtime. I totally understand stayfree's need to support itself, but why this way, if, according again to "powers...", you could be a Barnes and Noble affiliate and support the Democrats.

That's true about Amazon, but I've heard that Powells had excellent labor practices. It's a single, indie store and unlike B&N and Amazon, they welcomed a union. What's your evidence that they support the right?
We're linking to Amazon because, with their selection, reviews, and images and sample pages, their site is by far the best online book site. Also Amazon sells lots of other stuff, which B&N and Powells don't.
