Private Grooming

RemingtonbodyshaverQueer Eye for the Straight Guy mainstreamed the metrosexual, but even the Fab Five couldn't have predicted that promoting daily showers and Kiehl's would lead to ads for balls-shaving gear.

Remington and Philips have both created ads for their shave-everywhere products. The print ads are amusing, but Philips' flash animation came straight from my nightmares.

It was hard for me to believe that the "smooth package" market was big enough to warrant its own advertising, but Philips claims that "trimming pubic hair is thought to add an extra "optical inch" to your manhood." Enough said.

I love/hate the poll on the phillips site about whether or not hairy backs are sexy. 94% of men visiting the 'shave-everywhere' site say no? Oh really?

I noticed that in their poll, more men think hairy backs aren't sexy than women do. That can't be good for sales (unless they're targeting the queer market, which they may be).

Of course they haven't really worked on ways to suggest /women/ shaving their delicate places. Or provide special equipment.

It is just assumed that they will do so.

I'm not gay but I like shaving because it feels good when its nice an smooth. I think everyone should shave men and women alike. Seriously who likes getting hair in their mouth or teeth when going down on someone? If havent had your freshly shaven pubic area licked or caressed I'm sorry because you are really missing out. Don't take my word for it try it your self and see.

On the other hand, if a man has an unusually dense thicket between one's legs, this product may actually save lives. Oh yes, ball shaving will allow some men to properly grope their testicles as they endeavor to check for early signs of testicular cancer. You wait and see . . .Philips will be using this angle in ads any day now!

Shaving nads?

Thanks for the MUCH NEEDED laugh.

I am an extremely HETERO woman. I do LOVE gay men. What could possibly better than one penis? Two - 10?

In my opinion, there can NEVER be too many .
