I bet it's making them even cuter

As the heat wave rolls on, I turn to the local TV news website to find out if there are power outages, whether the subways are running, all that stuff. But more than anything else, I really want to know one thing: how is the heat affecting cute baby animals?

My city is about 540 miles to the south of the Bronx, but we, too, are so lucky to have a News 2 that looks so much like that one. During the heat wave they did a story on how a local pet spa was keeping its animals cool. There was a lengthy segment on how to handle your pets during the heat (keep them inside in the A/C!).

"Local news" is so embarrassing. I don't know how they sit there and do it. I'll take print journalism, usually of the Internet nature, any day over that mess.
