Czech Dream
A while back, I posted about the documentary Czech Dream, about a couple of artists who create a marketing campaign for a nonexistant bigbox store in Prague. Anyway, I just noticed that it's playing in New York this week (through Friday) at the IFC. Those of you who aren't in New York can probably find it on your favorite P2P network. (It's on mine....)

Thanks for the tip-- it was a great film to see with strangers!

I downloaded it from my favorite P2P network, and it looks fascinating. Unfortunately, I don't know Czech and there are no subtitles...

Jon, hey, if you email me I'll email you the subtitle file. It goes with the .avi and it's easy to work if you have a viewer called VLC.

Oh, *that's* what that extra file is! I've got it, Carrie. I was going through Front Row, but I just tried watching with VLC and it works great. Thanks for the tip and the offer!

i loved this movie when i saw it a while back... there was quite a bit of discussion about whether the whole thing was staged or not, but even if it was staged, i still think the film is amazing and definitely gives some food for thought.
